Mindful Movement 1, 2 & 3: a 45mins communal class that delivers an unconventional way of finding movement and decompression through the philosophy of: honoring one's breath, ROOTING DOWN, TO RISE UP & showing up (just as you are). The classes are for ALL levels and catered to who comes. It is inspired through breath-work, yogic postures, mobility, isolated articulation, visualization, guided meditation and Thai massage (also known for the assisted stretches).
Level 1: will focus more on passive movements. After warming up, we will find creative ways to leverage the body and sink deep into each posture with the synchronizing of one's exhale to intentionally letting go. This in turn will help one find their version of deepen space through constantly revisiting their breath.
Level 2: With movement, we explore the importance of body awareness through the fundamentals of stacking the body from foundation up with different planes and degrees of engagement... All, while learning how to let go! Taking advantage of the body's weight, we combine breath, active movement, isolating through our muscle engagement to not just find movement, but to feel STABLE through each transition!
Level 3: is a special dance between applying all aspects of 1&2 with a neighbor. Let's face it, there are just some things we can't do on our own! This class is about learning how to show up, be present to your body but also to your neighbor's. We learn about our bodies through the service of assisting others, that in turn gives us a different light to see ourselves. NO PARTNER NEEDED.
